Ribeira Izé Lost City Trail

This guided walk begins at Sundy Beach and winds through forest and along the coastline to the evocative ruins of Ribeira Izé. Founded in the 16th century, the settlement was once a thriving centre for sugar cane and coffee production before being gradually abandoned in the 19^th century. Today, the remains of its church and historic structures rest quietly within the landscape, offering a glimpse into Príncipe’s layered past.

Afterwards, amble along Praia Mocotó and enjoy a cooling ocean swim.
